NO-FEAR and STAIR4SECURITY Joint Conference

NO-FEAR and STAIR4SECURITY Joint Conference

Focus on CBRNE and Disaster Risk Resilience, Standardization and Best Practice Engagement

PRESS RELEASE OCTOBER 2019

Both NO-FEAR and STAIR4SECURITY invite you to join our joint conference on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives and Disaster Risk Resilience for Standardization and Best Practice Engagement on Saturday 23rd November in Rome.

NO-FEAR brings together a pan-European network of emergency medical care practitioners, suppliers, first responders, decision and policy makers to collaborate and exchange knowledge, good practices and lessons learnt and  it includes practitioners directly involved in Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives (CBRNE) and Disaster Risk Resilience (DRR).

STAIR4SECURITY creates a collaborative platform as a single entry point of information on the CBRNE and DRR sectors primarily coming from research activities allowing a better governance of standardization needs to be more readily realized.

The joint conference enables professionals directly involved in CBRNE and DRR European and national security research to contribute to the workings of these projects, which is of significance to European security resilience and the future Horizon Europe Framework Programme.  A dynamic interactive programme in place.  Participants can engage at demonstrations, workshops and roundtable discussions. The conference introduces a working session on the newly revised standardization CEN Workshop Agreement (CWA) and Fast-track procedure where best practices can be brought to life at European level. At the joint conference, we aim to explore the implementation of the proposed revised CWA in the real world and aim to receive valuable feedback from practitioners.  The STAIR4SECURITY framework / platform will also be demonstrated, which is of particular interest to many existing #H2020 #Security #Research projects that involve #CBRNE and #DRR as GDPR compliant inputs from these projects will be captured during the course of the project. Additionally, the joint NO-FEAR/STAIR4SECURITY conference also involves interaction sessions on where standardization can contribute to strengthen European resilience in emergency medical services under extreme circumstances.

The conference is of interest to policy makers, innovators, research and development experts, as well as standardization, ethical and data protection professionals.

Registration is free Click here.  Attendance numbers are limited. Teas/coffees and lunch provided.
